Making Money with a Website
Have you been told IT was EASY?
Making money with a website, making money on the internet, has been a growing and booming business
for those who learn the game and attack it with a fervor.
Unfortunately, there has become an increasing number of tricksters and scam artists
who will tell you how to make money with a website– THEIR website-
just to get you to part with your cash.
Their website is making them money, but will do nothing to move you forward.
(I am developing a theory about the similarities between
bad internet marketing programs and network marketing/mlm programs…)
A website that someone wants to provide you with,
set you up with some gimmicky tools to market it,
and then send you on your way– will not make you money.
How many people are working that same site?
Those same tools?
The same pitch, the same graphics, etcetera…?
Listen to me-
there are 100 million websites out there, and growing.
The only way to cut through the crowd and make any kind of impact
is with your OWN website.
Something created by you.
Something inspired by your unique self.
Something you put together with tools you download from other sources,
but then add yourself to.
Not a template that 2,000 other people have-
your own Header and graphics.
Not a bunch of content generated by a machine-
your own words.
Not a salespage that 4,000 people are trying to promote-
one of your own design.
You can borrow ideas, layouts, themes, headline and copy formats-
just about anything you like from the successful sites and/or the sites you like…
but don’t let some company set you up with the"web business in a box" thing…
the only money to be made from that is going to be made by the guy or gal who sells it to YOU.
Making money with a website is still a tremendously viable form of income,
but you need to hook up with and learn from honest and reliable sources.
While it is not exactly easy, there are indeed some tools
that are available for free or relatively little money that can
make the job of getting started easy for even the novice computer user.
All of the tools we use to get Marketing Step 1 out into the etherworld
have been simple to figure out,
and two years ago I didn’t have a clue what ‘copy and paste’ meant.

But- keep in mind that what will make you successful online,
the strongest tool in your internet marketing toolbox,
will be YOU.
Your best chance at making money with a website is going to be
to build it around YOU.
Something you love.
Something you are passionate about.
Something you have a lot of knowledge about.
