Standing Out

How to Stand Out in a Sea of Marketing Mayhem!

Doesn’t it seem like we get simply bombarded by marketing messages everyday?
If you step back and count just the most obvious ones…

  1. Ads in newspapers and magazines–
  2. Catalogues, coupons, and postcards in your snail-mail box–
  3. Television ads like crazy!!! I think it is up to around 19-21 minutes an hour now…
  4. Radio ads
  5. Billboards on the roads we use–
  6. Storefronts and mini-malls with piles of ridiculous signage–
  7. People leaving things on your front doorstep or stuck in your door!!!–
  8. All the hand posted bulletins and posters and garage sale type junk
stapled to telephone poles and taped to street signs–
  9. Email, whether legit or spam–
  10. Adsense, Adwords, Banners, Pop-unders, Exit popups everywhere you go online–

Just to name a few.

How do you think people deal with all this ‘noise’?
How do you deal with it?

I’ve got a feeling you and I and most everyone else deals with it in kind of the same way:

We build a sort of a wall, a defense shield, to keep it at bay-
and- we get sort of glazed-over vision when looking at a sea of signage or
a string of commercials….

No wonder it is so hard to persuade somebody to do something!
No wonder it is so hard to stand out…

This certainly is part of the reason that the online marketing world
is so full of hype and outrageous claims on most of the sales pages you see–

This is a tough business, this marketing thing!

 How do you stand out?

How do you get  your message heard/seen online?

Well,  you certainly don’t go about it with a lead foot or a sledgehammer…
By that, I mean you do not want to simply market More, or Louder,
or Faster, or Slyer, or More Deviously….

You might get some immediate results from that kind of marketing,
but it will almost certainly backfire on you in the end.

The two most important things to accomplish
when you are trying to market to someone are:

  1. Establish Credibility with a prospect.
  2. Remove a prospect’s fear of doing business with you.

If you can achieve these two things, you will
get past your prospects’ defenses and put yourself in a position
to persuade them to buy from you!.

Now, how to get all this done…..

What is it going to take to get somebody’s attention,
raise your credbility, and remove the fear factor….

all at the same time???

There is a one word answer -

Trust.

If you can get around a prospect’s defenses with
information that makes them trust you, your
credibility will take them right through to a sale
quite a bit of the time….

How do you go about getting this credibility quickly?

By publishing FREE ARTICLES.

This is absolutely going to establish you as someone who knows their business.
If you are actively providing a portion of your knowledge on a topic
to the world-at-large without trying to sell anyone anything,
people can’t help but trust you.
If there is no perceivable marketing ploy going on,
your name or your company name will ever-so-quickly
be associated with the niche or solutions you are writing about…
and veeeery credible!

Think about it.
When you read a paper or magazine,
which would better prompt you to buy a product:

An ad stating how fabulous a product is, or

an article written about the great benefits of a product?

Well, hands down it is the latter which is going to sell you- everytime!

So…. I am suggesting that you consider
article publishing and promoting
as a way to gain credibility with your prospects-
whether you are just posting them on your website,
or submitting them to directories for reprinting.

And– keep in mind that providing content-rich,
‘pitch-free’ articles will build and strengthen
your relationships with your existing clients as well…

Can you say "win’win"?

If you are looking to stand out among your competitors,
do more than they do to gain trust and credibility

Build relationships, not just sales!

To your increasing Focus-
