honest internet marketing help.

June 11, 2008

Marketers are Slick.

Who do you think
a lot of internet marketers
are making their money from?
I’ll give you one clue: YOU.

So you are looking for honest internet marketing help…
you are on some lists of some marketers who are making money…
they are constantly telling you about
the next great product you are going to want to snap up–
it is from Marketer XYZ, a friend of theirs….
and will skyrocket your profits!

Have your profits skyrocketed yet?

The things you need to keep in mind are:

1. 0nly YOU know what you need.
And only you can make informed decisions about your
next phase of business building.

2. The skill of good marketing is a skill you
are trying to learn. What the people getting your wallet
out of your pocket are doing is exactly what
you will want to be doing.

You may not like every marketer’s tactics, but
you better be appreciative and aware of every trick
that works on you.
You will want to be at least that effective
when you are running your campaigns.

Learn from the great ones.

Learn from the not-so-great ones.

And only buy what you need…
when you need it.

Who is in charge of your business?

Only you.

Keep that focus coming!

Taking a “Launch Pounding” Lately?

This Marketers-who-market-to-marketers thing
has gotten shamelessly ridiculous.

The Pre-launch/Launch/Post-Launch
pounding that occurs for nearly everything
is already burning itself out.

We even had a massive
Pre-Launch Hype Machine go down
for a product that teaches you
how to have a massive
Pre-Launch Hype Machine.

It’s like a cash-sucking, ATM machine,
bank account-exploding salesletter
that sells you a product to show you how to write
cash-sucking ATM machine, bank account-exploding salesletters….

This whole incestuous niche has dazzled
and smoke-and-mirrored and exaggerated
and sensationalized and idolized and pedestalized
until there is no sense of reality anymore.

There may not even BE a reality.

Honestly, the time is long overdue to take a step back
and re-evaluate what is going on in this war-torn niche–
my suggestion, as a place for the relatively uninitiated to start, is to:

think like a Marketer and not like a Mark.

All this overblown sensationalism that
hits you from every angle is a good study,
as long as you are looking to learn from it
and don’t get too emotionally involved
(as in pull out your WALLET on auto-pilot).

Each of us know where our level of integrity
will allow us to go.
If you feel that someone has crossed a line
in their marketing practices ,

cut ‘em loose.
You aren’t going to miss much by being on
six lists instead of forty.

Choose the voices you let in wisely.

Learn from those who resonate with your own set of values.

Let someone else Overhype and Underdeliver….
You got your own style.

Now go read the Internet Marketing Cure!
This is a free download and is really kicking up some
great responses from even some of the marketers
who might be guilty of some of the stuff he’s exposing…

Off to JVAlert…Road Trip!

I am heading off to JVAlert this week in Philadelphia….

Ken MacArthur and a host of Internet Marketing celebs,
movers, and shakers etc will be there.

There is nothing like diving in
to a live event and surrounding yourself
with the people who do what you do
to light a fire and get the juices flowing.
Ken has begun his Coaching and Mentoring
Program too, and I will be a part of that.

Like I have been saying,
hang out with the people you resonate with.

A lesson is always a lesson,
but if it comes from someone you
admire and respect, you just might be more inclined
to put that lesson into practice and
see the changes happen!

See you when I get back!

The Simple Skinny on How to Get Things Done

Most people do nothing with the information they learn
so they do not succeed with it.

DON’T be like them.
When you read something, implement it!

You don’t have to implement everything you read,
but you should make a habit of picking up
the things you need to do or want to do and start a “To Do” list.

Here’s what I do every day:

I write down new items that need to be done.

I mark the items that are CRITICAL with an “A” next to them.

Items that are less critical are marked with an appropriate
“B” or “C”  depending on their importance.

Items completed are checked off my list.

Each night before I go to sleep I re-write my list of items
not yet completed for the next day and re-evaluate
which are more critical than others at that time.

That way I always have a running list
of the most important and profitable activities
I should be doing each and every day.

IT WORKS. TRY IT. GET MORE DONE = MAKE MORE MONEY.

Impact Factor Has Me Excited!

Okay… so the whole Impact Factor Launch Team thing
has me really excited.

In the span of just a few weeks, I am learning so much
about how a book gets promoted and launched- by promoting and
launching one!

Ken McArthur has been building a launch team for his book
and coaching program that will launch on May 13th– by
simply asking! He sent out an email to his lists,
he sent out an email to his friends (he has some
high-profile friends!), and has been assembling
a diverse team of go-getters and organizing subgroups
and task forces and it’s been a Fabulous education already!

He is also offering, to each of the subgroups,
a bit of training on how to accomplish the different
assignments:
Press releases, article marketing, blogging,
advertising, seo, contacting mavens….
all the stuff you should be working on!

I would strongly recommend getting involved with
Ken and his Impact Factor site-

be a part of the launch team for free
and get some quality
behind-the-scenes education….OR

sign up for his totally free
Perpetual Learning Series…OR

Take a long hard look at the
Impact Coaching Program….

Ken is one of just a handful
of marketers that I trust and respect…
and I would love to run in to you
at one of his events!

To Your Continuing Learning…

Impact. Want some?

Impact: How to Get Noticed, Motivate Millions
and Make a Difference in a Noisy World

This is BIG.

There is going to be a lot of serious buzz soon about
about a brand new book coming out
from Ken McArthur called:

IMPACT: How to Get Noticed, Motivate Millions,
And Make a Difference In a Noisy World.

ImpactCoverMedium.jpg

If you haven’t heard of Ken, you will….

Ken runs many powerful sites for marketers like us,
and has a great joint venture program called JVAlert.

He sponsors yearly events, and offers lots and lots of
free and low-cost training on his sites.

He hangs out in that circle we all want to be in…:
Yanik Silver, Million Dollar Mike Morgan, Tom Beal,
Mike Filsaime, Brian Edmondson, John Reese…

And NOW, he is launching a book, a coaching series, and
I want what he is offering!

The coaching program is just what the doctor ordered for
those of us who really want to discover how to make
an impact… not only financially in our own lives,
but in the world around us.

The art of inserting yourself into someone’s mind,
into their routine, into their agenda,
is basically what sales is all about.

Especially on the internet, where you don’t get the chance
to use eye contact, body language, etcetera to
get your point across….

What Ken has put together is an absolutely unique
approach to personal mentoring and will be a
serious kick in the pants for anyone who
participates. I have been speaking to Ken
about this opportunity, and I will be signing on.

Right now, before the Impact Coaching and Mentoring Program
kicks off, you can go to The Impact Factor.com and get a boatload
of free education in his Perpetual Learning Series…

44 different seminars presented by the world’s most successful
internet marketers.

And, as a bonus just for becoming a free member of
The
Impact Factor.com,  you can get access to this
powerful recording Ken did with Brendon Burchard:

What I try to get across on this website
is the importance for you to:

  1. Think for yourself.
  2. Think like a marketer.
  3. Know your ‘why‘ (why you want to be your own boss).
  4. Develop a marketing mindset.
  5. Ignore the riff-raff and follow the leaders.
  6. Seek out mentors and like-minded people.

So much of what Ken’s coaching and mentoring program is about
is exactly this stuff….

You might want to take a hard look at the
personal coaching, one-to-one time,

Mastermind groups, Bootcamps, and
all the other stuff this guy will be throwing out there—

As for me, I truly believe that the learning process never ends.

I have been searching for the right personal mentoring help
for a long time– to get good help means you
have to pay good money… and everybody and their brother
has been putting out some form of
mentoring/coaching product lately…

I have ‘interviewed’ and ‘taken a test drive of
many of the recent programs, but–

I feel like the benefits will be the greatest if you
find a mentor you resonate with, sympathize with,
and appreciate their approach to doing what they do.

Well, if you have followed along with me
for any length of time,
you know I respect honesty and integrity,
and certainly give out a lot of points
for humor and reachability!

These are some of Ken’s strongest points.

And why I will be taking part in his
Impact Coaching and Mentoring Program.

I’d love to meet you there!

To your increasing focus-
